The music a person puts on when they do not want to talk. Not With Words is an album about that kind of communication — and about what happens when it fails, when it succeeds, and when it is all that is left.
Eight songs. Mara's Rhodes is more prominent here than on either of the previous records — her playing carries more of the emotional weight, filling spaces where lyrics could go but don't.
